POSITION SPECIFICS
The Pennsylvania State University, College of Health and Human Development, Department, of Human Development and Family Studies is seeking candidates for an Assistant Research Professor. The successful candidate should have expertise in the area of behavioral neuroscience, a focus on development is preferred.The candidate should have demonstrated expertise in EEG research (experience with collecting, processing, analyzing, and publishing neuroscience data with EEG).

Qualifications
Candidates must possess a Ph.D., or terminal degree at the time of hire. A degree in
Neuroscience, Psychology,
or closely related field is preferred / required. Demonstrated experience in research management and scientific publication is essential. Competencies critical to success include the ability to work with minimal supervision, effective verbal and communication skills needed to coordinate across and within a large collaborative research environment.

About the Department / Hiring Unit
Human Development and Family Studies is an interdisciplinary department with a shared focus on understanding lifespan development within context, and across levels of analysis. HDFS is an intellectually vibrant academic environment, with approximately 25 faculty members engaged in externally funded research, and a doctoral training program of approximately 50 students.
