Tennessee State Veterans Home – Murfreesboro is currently looking for an experienced RN Staff Development Coordinator join our team. The RN Staff Development Coordinator will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for the nursing staff to promote professional development and enhance patient care. This role will require excellent teaching and communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of nursing principles and standards.

Qualifications :
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field required; master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with proven expertise in staff development and education
- Strong knowledge of nursing standards, laws, and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Proficient in the use of technology and various computer programs / systems
Responsibilities :
Assess the learning needs of nursing staff through surveys, interviews, and observationsDevelop and implement effective educational programs, workshops, and in-service training sessions based on identified needsCollaborate with nursing management team to determine department-specific training requirementsCoordinate and facilitate orientation training programs for new nursing staff and other staff membersProvide ongoing education and training to promote continuous professional developmentStay current on advancements in nursing practice, regulations, and standardsEvaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and modify as neededMaintain accurate records of staff development activities and participationCollaborate with nursing leadership to identify and address performance improvement opportunitiesSupporting clinical operations as needs arise – including assisting with residents, participating in admissions and discharges, providing direct patient care as needed.Serve as a mentor and resource for nursing staffParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and committeesBENEFITS
