The Accounting Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing the fundamental aspects of the restaurant's financial recordkeeping. Your responsibilities will include recording financial transactions, managing accounts payables and receivables, reconciling bank statements, and providing leadership for the organization's financial functions.

Main Duties
Your key responsibilities will include :
Prepare daily and weekly financial reports accurately and in a timely mannerManage accounts payables and receivables, ensuring timely payments and collectionsIdentify and rectify any discrepancies or errors on POS reports promptlyReview and reconcile petty cash, voids, and promotional reports meticulouslyHandle bank deposits and meticulously reconcile credit card statementsRaise purchase orders for operational expenditures within allocated budgets and place orders online once purchase orders are approved by department headEffectively manage gift card issuance and ensure accurate reconciliationAttend HOD meetings and deliver comprehensive presentations on weekly operational financialsEffectively handle chargebacks with credit card companies in accordance with company policiesCoordinate seamlessly with outsourced accounting firms to ensure timely and accurate reportingProvide expert accounting support to other Zuma locations as required, maintaining consistency and accuracyOffer informed insights and advice to management on financial trends, budget variances, and pertinent issuesCollaborate effectively in audit activities, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reportingUphold the highest standards of accuracy and compliance in financial statements, adhering to GAAP and internal policiesPerforms other duties and responsibilities as required or requestedWhat We Look For
Our ideal candidate embodies our values and the following :
1-3 years of experience in accounting in restaurant industryBachelor’s degree in accounting requiredStrong knowledge of MS Office Suite, including ExcelKnowledge of GAAP and federal and state financial regulationsProficiency in accounting software and performing cash reconciliation, bank deposits, and check handlingStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent attention to detailExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and stakeholdersAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentPrior experience in the hospitality industry is a plus but not requiredBenefits
