Core Responsibilities

• Technical and disciplinary leadership of subordinates; To guide, motivate, assess, control and develop employees.
• Enforce employee compliance with all company, plant and departmental operating policies and procedures.
• Review and be compliant with health, safety, and environmental protection policies according to the management system; Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the logistics staff in general.
• Implement the principles of leadership and exemplify Benteler's Core Values of Ambition, Courage and Respect.
• Perform efficiently in a team-oriented environment and establish good cooperation with the management team.
• Cooperate with sales department to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
• Continuous improvement of logistics processes in the plant.
• Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for logistics operations, in cooperation with the Supervisor of Shipping / Dispatch.
• Continuous improvement and controlling of the operational Key Performance Indicators of Logistics and Transportation.
• Secure best available freight rates through carrier negotiation together with Purchasing.
• Ensure the correct description of the logistics process in the IT environment.
• SAP Distribution Process owner.
• Support and execute logistics improvement projects.
• Compliance and implementation of the management system (processes and standards).
• Work in coordination with Supervisor of Shipping / Dispatch to ensure inventory is accurate both physically and systematically.
