Responsibilities :
- Review proposed contracts and business transactions for financial risk and proper accounting treatment.
- Creates complex accounting analytics for internal and external reporting requirements.
- Interprets financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions
- Prepares and posts complex monthly journal entries.
- Responsible for managing and mentoring department's Finance Management Rotation (FMR) program participant
- Trains, supervises and manages the performance of personnel including the establishment of performance standards, objectives and annual reviews, which must be completed in a timely manner. Will formally supervise a minimum of 2.0 FTE's.
- Develops administrative tasks, special projects and training programs as assigned. Acts a liaison for the department in meetings with management.
- Develops analyses and reports to support system-wide finance executives. Prepares detailed analyses for annual audit.
- Prepares reconciliation of actual to budget variance analysis.
- Prepares general ledger account reconciliations for designated accounts. Proposes correcting entries.

Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related business field required.Minimum of five years of related work experience required.A Master's degree or CPA license and four years of experience will also be considered.CPA / MBA preferred.Prior experience leading / supervising staff preferred.Microsoft Office spreadsheet application required and PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency preferred.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances :
