CMM Technician

Shift : M-F 8 hours, 3rd shift 4PM – 12AM

• $27-34 / hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Must

• 3rd shift automotive hours; roughly 4 : 00PM thru 12 : 00AM
• Must have skills operating and troubleshooting Zeiss Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMMs)
• Desired ability to troubleshoot Zeiss CMM programs
• Knows how to read a CMM report
• Can calibrate and understand CMM machine
• Flexibility for weekends / OT as needed
• Must be ablet to keep machines running
• Familiarity with servicing Zeiss CMMs would be good too, but not required

Position

To provide immediate, skilled support for operating and troubleshooting Zeiss Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs). This support is critical to minimize inspection equipment downtime and ensure continuous production flow during a period of high equipment retooling and deployment.

The contractor shall provide a qualified Zeiss CMM Operator with the following

• Operate Zeiss CMMs to perform inspection tasks in a high-volume automotive production environment.
• Troubleshoot Zeiss CMM equipment to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with Zeiss CMM programs (preferably using Calypso software).
• Support preventive maintenance and basic servicing of Zeiss CMMs (preferred but not required).
• Collaborate with plant and PTME teams to ensure inspection equipment is functioning optimally.
• Provide flexible availability for weekend and overtime work as needed.
