Middle School Math Teacher Grades 6-8 Full Time, 7 : 30 am - 4 pm 2024-2025 Academic Year Authorization to work in the United States is required.

Position Overview Dwight School, an innovative preschool-grade 12 coeducational school on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, is currently seeking a self-directed teacher who is able to deliver various types of high school mathematics instruction for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Responsibilities Foster a positive and constructive learning environment in the math classroom Use a variety of instructional strategies to activate math learners Display a willingness to integrate technology into the math classroom Foster the development of students academic and social-emotional skills in math classes Display a commitment to diversity and creating a culture of equity, inclusion, and belonging in approach to teaching and learning, as they are recognized and valued by Dwight Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education, Mathematics or related STEM subject required Master’s Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education, Mathematics or related STEM subject preferred Prefer prior teaching experience in a Middle or Upper School setting Prefer experience teaching to a range of learners Experience with thoughtful technology integration in a Mathematics class Experience with International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program and / or Diploma Program highly preferred Eager to contribute positively to the Dwight community Willingness to engage with and learn from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences Ability to bring joy, kindness, maturity, and flexibility to the school environment Compensation commensurate upon experience : $65,000-$80,000 We are committed to making our recruitment practices barrier-free and as accessible as possible for everyone.
