Residential Facilities Maintenance Mechanic

Location : Richmond, VA

A day in this role

Your morning kicks off by checking overnight service requests. You might start with an HVAC call to restore comfort in a residence, then move on to a quick electrical fix in a common area. Midday, you walk the property, inspecting systems and spotting issues before they become problems. In the afternoon, you finalize a make-ready for a new move-in, update your work log with parts used, and team up with a colleague on a larger project. Throughout the day, you keep safety and great service front and center.

What you'll handle

• Carry out routine maintenance across plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Complete regular property inspections to uncover and resolve maintenance needs.
• Respond quickly and professionally to service requests from residents and staff.
• Document work performed and track materials and parts used with accuracy.
• Prepare vacant units so they are move-in ready for new residents.
• Follow safety requirements and company policies at all times.
• Work cooperatively with teammates on multi-step or larger-scale projects.
• Deliver courteous, solutions-focused support to residents and address concerns.
