V&V Engineer- Principal

This role is onsite near Phoenix, AZ and due to the nature of the project all applicants must be US Citizens or hold a Green Card.

EXB Solutions (a Quest Global company) is hiring a Principal V&V Engineer to join our team who can work well with others in an integrated team of on-site and off-shore members.

As our V&V Specialist you will be responsible for developing a comprehensive test strategy to fulfill a successful TSO 153 run.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• 10-15 years’ experience in V&V test
• 1-5 years’ experience in unit, integration, and high-level test environment setup for DO-178
• Agile scrum-like experience
• Strong experience in leadership and working with multiple teams
• Must be quick to learn the architecture, product, and process
• Strong focus on safety OEM software must be in a silver label test state for first flight readiness
• Ability to work with local and remote groups - All benches have remote access capabilities (there are some things you must be on the bench to do)
• Familiarity with DO-254 verification of hardware
• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle - DO-178C
• Familiarity with Jira (Atlassian tools), BitBucket, git, IBM DOORS and RQM (Rational Quality Manager) test management tools
• Familiarity with multithreading and multicore processing, and graphics drivers
• Deep skill in unit testing, integration, and acceptance testing
• Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Experience in a highly iterative environment (with DevOps / Agile experience and mindset).
• Experience in time management, efficient use of design and understanding less is more
• Experience with I / O software development (ARINC-429, P2P, etc.)
• Experience with RTOS (ARINC 653)
• Deep understanding and hardware testing experience with DO-254

Starting salary : $115k. The starting salary is an estimate for this position. Actual pay may vary based on multiple factors including, but not limited to relevant experience, certifications, competencies that align to the specified role, and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
