Are you interested in Making a Difference in the Lives of Local Youth? Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio (BGCNEO) has an immediate opening for a Food Delivery Driver in the Lorain, Ohio area. The ideal candidate will be a friendly, helpful individual responsible for packing and delivering the daily meal to several of our Northeast Ohio clubs. The Food Delivery Driver will provide excellent service and maintain positive relationships with club directors. The Driver will ensure meals are delivered accurately, in good condition, communicate any issues or delays that arise and resolve problems efficiently. The Driver will represent BGCNEO with excellence and professionalism by driving safely and exercising good judgment.

  • This a Full-Time position, approximately 30 hours per week.
  • Schedule is Monday-Friday- 6 hours per day.
  • Work hours may vary between 11am-5 : 30pm. (Summer Schedule typically 8 : 30-2 : 30)
  • Starting pay rate is $ 17 per hour.

A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage multiple deliveries, delivery locations, and clubs at the same time
  • Deliver meals within an optimal period of time, ensuring freshness of food
  • Safely operate a vehicle in all types of weather conditions
  • Navigate local streets and highways with ease using a GPS
  • Operation & inspection of agency vehicles and identifying maintenance and repair needs
  • Communicate clearly with clubs and food service employees, demonstrating an eagerness to work through any issues or points of confusion
  • Verify complete meals before each delivery and maintain a time and temperature log

    • Requirements :

  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Final candidates must clear a background check and drug test.
  • Ability to lift & carry heavy food orders & operate a vehicle for prolonged periods of time
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal communication and conflict resolution
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • High school diploma preferred
