As a Security Officer - Unarmed Commercial Patrol in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a commercial real estate location, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, assisting with access control, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone on site. Position Type : Full Time Pay Rate : $22.00 / Hour Job Schedule : Day Time Mon 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM Thur 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM Fri 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM Sat 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM Sun 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors and tenants with directions and general information as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site staff to maintain a secure environment.
  • Complete required reports and logs in a timely and accurate manner.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
