Production Lead - C

Job Summary

Under limited supervision provides support by gathering, maintaining and updating various records in an effort to expedite and maintain an orderly process of orders through the production process. Coordinates activities of employees engaged in the inspection and packaging of parts to ensure they meet specifications.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Instruct operators on how to inspect, perform secondary operations, and / or package parts in order to meet specifications and improve productivity.
• Perform re-work on parts as needed.
• Ensure parts from machines are correctly packaged, meet quality standards and are labeled correctly.
• Spot checks completed job orders to ensure inspectors are making correct decisions on whether to accept or reject parts.
• Ensure orders are received by the shipping department in a timely manner.
• Schedule and monitor daily work deadlines.
• Complete all required paperwork for the shift.
• Oversee required operator training for new and existing employees.
• Ensure operators have the tools needed to complete job : boxes, safety supplies, labels, etc.
• Schedule and supply breaks and lunches as needed.
• Provide input to manager / supervisor involving employee relation issues and for use in performance evaluations.
