Tax Manager Consultant

Our client, a global software company, is seeking a Tax Manager Consultant to support their tax operations during a transitional period.

This opportunity is 100% remote; however, PST working hours are required. Candidates in the Bay Area may work in a hybrid capacity, 2 days / week onsite in Fremont, CA. This engagement will have an initial duration of 3+ months, with potential for extension or conversion.

This position reports to the Director of Revenue.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage U.S. federal, state, and international income tax returns prepared by external tax preparers.
• Support quarterly and annual worldwide tax provision reporting for a Japanese public company shareholder.
• Oversee U.S. sales tax, VAT, and GST filings.
• Review transfer pricing arrangements and statutory tax provision calculations.
• Manage tax planning and respond to IRS, state, and international audits and notices.
• Stay current on tax legislation and update practices accordingly.
• Provide cross-functional support and assist with special projects as needed.
