American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) night shift position requiring a CA RN license and neonatal certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an acute care Level 3 NICU with 21 beds, floating to Nursery and Peds as requiredNight shifts from 7 : 00 pm to 7 : 00 am, every other weekend required, self-schedulingPatient ratios range from 1 : 1 to 1 : 3 in NICU, with Peds ratios up to 1 : 4Equipment includes oscillators, Draeger, CPAP, and high flow nasal cannulaEMR system used is CernerOccasional standby call may be required in low census situationsFloor-specific orientation provided : 2–3 shifts NICU, 2 shifts PedsProvide care to neonates 23 weeks and above, including critical cases and feeders / growersPreference for candidates with cooling therapy experienceCharge nurse present in NICU during most shifts; no nurse aides assigned; 24 / 7 RT and pharmacy support availableScrub color is navyMust work two major holidays during contractFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyCandidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, PRN) by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the last yearPass / fail clinical skills and dysrhythmia testing may be required during orientation\n \n Requirements\n
Active CA RN license in hand at time of submission (no pending licenses accepted)Minimum 2 years of recent NICU RN experienceCurrent BLS and NRP certifications required; PALS and STABLE preferredExperience with high frequency oscillators and ventilators requiredReferences : one supervisor from the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years\n Benefits\n
