Pharmacy Technician
Position Summary : $2,000.00 Signing Bonus! Evening Shift Mon-Fri 1 : 30p.m. to 10 : 00 p. m.
Dynamic Rx Labs is a closed-door mail-order pharmacy specializing in patient-specific compounded preparations. The pharmacy technician is an integral part of the compounding team.
Working under a pharmacist’s supervision, the compounding technician weighs out powders, mixes solutions, and prepares sterile and non-sterile compounds.
Technician Position Responsibilities :
- Chooses and fills prescriptions with the appropriate drug and quantity.
- Reviews patient profiles and retrieves specific data as directed by a licensed pharmacist
- Compounds sterile and non-sterile products using pre-prepared Formulation Worksheets, including working in controlled cleanroom areas.
- Maintains and cleans assigned work areas and equipment including monthly cleaning of lab areas and all sterile rooms
- Assists in the proper disposal and documentation of pharmaceutical and biological waste
- Assists in creating Training Tools and Job Aids
- Other manipulative, non-discretionary functions as deemed necessary by the Responsible Pharmacist
- Other duties as assigned
Other Duties under the supervision and control of a licensed pharmacist :
- Receives prescriptions electronically and via fax
- Enters / Types prescriptions into pharmacy software
- Prepares empty prescription containers (bags and vials)
- Prints shipping labels USPS, FedEx, and UPS
- Files and retrieves various pharmacy records
- Places necessary orders for drugs and supply items from approved vendors
- Receives, unpacks, and stores items as they arrive
- Maintains and cleans assigned work areas and equipment including monthly cleaning of lab areas, including sterile rooms (ISO 5 and 7)
- Assists in the final disposal of pharmaceutical or biological waste
- Receives and initiates phone calls and electronic mail
Position Qualifications :
- Washington State Pharmacy Technician license Active and in good standing
- Sterile Certification
