Outside Sales Representative at Kansas Building Products in Wichita, KS. This position focuses on managing the sales of all the company's products and services with emphasis on Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) and Masonry Materials. The salary range is $65,000-$75,000 dependent upon qualifications.

Responsibilities
- Full-time role with potential long hours and weekend work or after-hours duties; schedule may vary based on supply and demand.
- Manage relationships with customers, vendors, and service providers to ensure the company is well positioned in the market.
- Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers; provide general support to the manager, sales team, office staff, and production staff.
- Bid projects, compile submittals, and coordinate shipping with company trucks and independent truck lines.
- Navigate SAP to input sales orders, purchase requisitions, and manage inventory levels.
- Identify opportunities, strategies, and action plans to achieve short- and long-term sales growth and earnings.
- Pursue new account sales and growth, with emphasis on proactive sales to the design community; participate in box lunch presentations, industry shows, and seminars.
- Forecast sales, opportunities, and threats in collaboration with the sales manager and general manager.
- Execute sales strategies within the company's market region with persistence while maintaining ethics.
- Regularly attend sales meetings and take a proactive approach to addressing customer service or product quality issues.
- Ensure high levels of customer service and safe operation at all times; load sheets and tickets for delivery; perform other duties as required within the company.
Qualifications
Combination of education, training, and experience relevant to the duties of the role.Knowledge or experience in customer service, problem solving, concrete block, masonry products, hardscape products, and other building materials; ability to work safely or be trained.Ability to read, write, and speak English; strong customer focus.Ability to take orders and follow directions from supervisors; effective communication with management and sales staff.Ability to bid projects and coordinate logistics; proficient computer skills for reports and online project searches.Proficient in using office equipment; proficient phone, email, and texting communication.Ability to learn and navigate SAP for sales orders and inventory management.Ability to multitask, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintain attention to detail.Strong time management, teamwork, and initiative; proven ability to motivate and lead sales programs.Must pass pre-employment and random drug / alcohol screenings; adherence to safety requirements and PPE use.Valid Driver's License.Physical Requirements
Moderate physical work; may require lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 40 pounds frequently, and negligible constant force to move objects.Occasional travel / standing; balance and mobility for loading, stocking, and moving materials; climbing stairs as needed.Exposure to varying weather conditions; use of safety gear as required.Manual dexterity and ability to drive to meet customers; load materials and restock shelves as needed.Employment Details
