We are seeking an experienced & visionary Staff Designer who will be instrumental in taking our digital design projects from concept to launch.

This role calls for a senior professional with a profound understanding of the web design landscape & the ability to inspire teams to achieve outstanding results.

Our most senior designers set the vision for projects, enforce our high design standards, & mentor other designers to make sure we're meeting them.

You will help define & guide the design direction, user experience & evolution of & other digital brand campaigns.

You will be challenged in an organization that values both vision & execution. You will take ownership of the digital space by solving complex problems with thoughtful, elegant solutions.

You will stay up to date on design & technology trends to ensure our projects are cutting-edge & resonate with current & future audiences.

You have a strong background in visual, web, & interaction design & impeccable taste in typography. You are comfortable working closely with producers, designers, product managers, engineers, & product marketing & you're comfortable presenting work to executive stakeholders & delivering feedback to teams.

This is a hybrid role that reports into our Director of Brand Design as a part of our award winning in-house creative team in our New York headquarters.

Who We're Looking For

• 10+ years in design roles at agencies, studios, or in-house
• Impeccable sense of design aesthetics & quality.
• Strong understanding & background in visual, web & interaction design, site architecture, & designing intuitive user interfaces & navigation
• Excellent strategic, conceptual, & executional skills.
• Affinity for consistency, color, typography, photography, & animation
• Advanced proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, & Figma.
• Understanding of prototyping, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, browsers, & devices.

Cash Compensation Range : $148,500 - $239,200 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, & location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), all Squarespace employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
