2026 Field Engineer Internship (Summer)

Job Description

This is a paid summer internship position. Candidates must be currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a construction related program. This is an entry-level position that requires a candidate who is willing to learn the day-to-day operations of the commercial construction industry and job site. Our interns will be assigned to a job site for the summer and will be under the tutelage of an experienced Superintendent.

This position will include physical activity on a daily basis as well as frequent work in the elements. All candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment drug screen and will be expected to adhere to MCP's safety program at all times.

Interns who excel in our summer program may be invited to continue working with The MCP Group at the completion of the internship program and their educational program of choice.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Skills

• Preferably, candidates will be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program for construction management, engineering, or a related field
• Candidates must be eager to learn. Seeking understanding when processes and procedure are unclear
• Familiar with interpreting plans, specs, safety regulations, maintenance instructions, etc.
• Strong people skills; ability to communicate effectively
• Strong computer skills are necessary
• Must be willing to travel
