Discover a more connected Telecom Drill Bores Operator career At North Sky Communications LLC as a Telecom Drill Bores Equipment Operator with CDL, you’ll be responsible for driving company vehicles and operating drill equipment to install underground telecommunications cables and infrastructure. What you’ll do as a Telecom Drill Bores Equipment Operator Determine bore path and locate utilities Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path Utilize “Mud” mixing systems Develop and maintain a bore schedule Responsible for site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance Perform work in all weather conditions Dig pits, trenches or potholes as directed by job plan Drive company vehicles with equipment to and from jobsites as neccessary and permitted Other duties as assigned What you’ll need To be 18 years of age or older Authorization to work in the United States for this company High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it Experience with the capabilities and limitations of telecom construction equipment, including drilling equipment and drill setup and design processes Must be able to pass preemployment durg and alcohol tests, DOT medical certificate physical test, and background check Physical abilities & exposures Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse Salary Range $25 - $32 + per hour, DOE Why work with us Your career here is more than just a job — it's your pathway to opportunity.
