Senior Electronic Design Engineer
We are searching for an experienced Senior Electronic Design Engineer to lead the development of advanced electronic systems used across a wide range of precision measurement and calibration applications. This role blends hands-on circuit design with systems-level engineering, project leadership, and team mentorship. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable architecting new hardware platforms, guiding PCB development, and partnering with cross-functional teams to bring reliable, high-performance products from concept through production.
Advanced Circuit & System Development
- Design and develop analog and digital circuitry, power electronics, and signal-processing subsystems for complex hardware products.
- Define overall system architecture and select key components for reliability and manufacturability.
- Create, simulate, prototype, and validate circuit designs from concept through testing and integration.
- Implement and optimize control systems involving microcontrollers, DSPs, and FPGAs.
PCB Design Leadership
Oversee PCB layout activities, ensuring best practices in signal integrity, manufacturability, and thermal performance.Review and approve schematics, layouts, and design outputs in accordance with industry and internal standards.Conduct simulations (thermal, EMC, signal integrity) prior to release for production.Prototyping, Testing & Integration
Manage prototype builds and perform hands-on evaluation under real-world conditions.Lead integration of new electronic subsystems with mechanical, software, and firmware components.Develop hardware validation plans, test protocols, and debugging strategies.Mentorship & Engineering Leadership
Provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.Lead design reviews, troubleshooting sessions, and collaborative technical discussions.Foster an innovative, quality-focused engineering culture.Project Ownership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Drive major design efforts from planning through production handoff.Coordinate closely with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and project management teams.Track project milestones and communicate progress, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership.Design Verification & Quality Assurance
Create and execute test plans to verify performance, compliance, and reliability.Troubleshoot complex hardware issues using advanced bench instrumentation.Ensure documentation accuracy, including schematics, BOMs, test reports, and compliance records.Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Evaluate emerging technologies and incorporate new design methods or tools when beneficial.Support the development of next-generation electronics, including wireless / IoT-enabled features.Continuously improve design processes to enhance quality and reduce time-to-market.Compliance & Standards
Ensure all designs meet applicable regulatory requirements (CE, UL, RoHS, REACH) and industry standards.Support audits, certification processes, and customer / regulatory reviews when needed.Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.5+ years of experience in electronic circuit design, PCB layout, and system integration.Technical Skills
Proficiency with design / simulation tools such as Altium, OrCAD, LTSpice, MATLAB, PSpice.Strong experience with PCB layout platforms (Altium, Eagle, KiCad, Mentor).Skilled in analog / digital design, signal processing, microcontroller- and FPGA-based development.Solid understanding of EMC, signal integrity, power distribution, mixed-signal design, and thermal considerations.Experience with high-speed, high-voltage, or mixed-signal applications is highly valuable.Familiarity with wireless communication technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee) and IoT architectures.Hands-on troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and related bench tools.Embedded / Firmware Knowledge
Ability to read and write basic firmware for microcontrollers (ARM Cortex, PIC, AVR).Experience with C / C++ for hardware bring-up and peripheral configuration.Familiarity with IDEs such as STM32CubeIDE, MPLAB X, Atmel Studio and toolchains like GCC / IAR.Exposure to RTOS environments (FreeRTOS, CMSIS-RTOS) is a plus.
