Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking Radiation Therapist 1 to join the team. This position is PRN working varies shift / scheduled as need for the department.
Requirements for consideration :
- Associate degree
- American Registered Radiologic Technologist certification or registry eligible within one year of employment
- Basic Life Support required upon start.
Job Responsibilities :
- The Radiation Therapist 2 communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff, healthcare team members, supervisors and outside contacts.
- Responsible for treatment modalities and protocols to accurately set-up and administer radiation treatments on a daily basis.
- Performs simulation procedures for initial patient set-up while verifying proper functioning of linear accelerators, simulators and Computed Tomography machines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
