Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of ServiceNow's CSDM framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT service management best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary authority on ServiceNow CSDM, providing expertise and guidance to internal teams and stakeholders.
Lead workshops and training sessions to educate business and IT teams on CSDM concepts, practices, and benefits.
Design, implement, and maintain the CSDM framework within ServiceNow, ensuring proper mapping of services, applications, and supporting infrastructure.
Collaborate with business analysts, process owners, and technical teams to ensure accurate and effective configuration of service models.
Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and governance for CSDM-related processes.
Conduct regular assessments of the CSDM implementation, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Support integration efforts between CSDM and other ServiceNow modules (e.g., CMDB, ITSM, ITOM, ITBM).
Provide troubleshooting and resolution for issues related to CSDM and its associated data models.
Stay current with ServiceNow platform updates and best practices related to CSDM.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
3+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow, including direct involvement with CSDM and CMDB.
Deep understanding of IT service management, IT operations management, and IT business management principles.
Expert knowledge of ServiceNow CSDM framework, data models, and best practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) or similar certifications are highly desirable.
Experience in large-scale ServiceNow implementations is a plus.
Preferred Skills
Experience with ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide API).
Familiarity with ITIL framework and processes.
Project management experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment."
