Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg unit in an acute care Level 1 trauma setting, requiring Epic experience and a ND or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a 32-bed inpatient Med / Surg Medical Specialty unit in an acute care hospital
  • Patient population includes adult med / surg patients and those with behavioral disturbances
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio is 5 : 1 on days and 6 : 1 on nights
  • Unit equipped with Epic EMR, telemetry, Philips monitors, bladder scanner, Acuivein, and Omnicell
  • 12-hour day / night rotating shifts with every other weekend and holiday required
  • Floating to all Med / Surg units across three campuses in Fargo is expected
  • Collaborate with inter-professional teams to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Provide care for a wide variety of adult med / surg diagnoses, including some behavioral patients
  • Private patient rooms equipped for safe mobility with gait belts and walkers
  • Staff required to badge in and out at the facility
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Previous employees must have at least a 6-month gap since last working for this health system
  • First time travelers will be considered
  • Self-scheduling allowed, though shift changes may be made to support unit needs

  • Active ND or compact RN license
  • Current BLS certification through AHA
  • Minimum 1 year recent Med / Surg experience in a hospital with at least 250 beds
  • Level 1 trauma experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Must not reside within a 60-mile radius of the facility; reduced rate applies for those living 60–80 miles away
