What you'll be doing :

Performs required work following best practices for installation, troubleshooting services and devices provided to customers for phone, internet and video.

• Positively interact with customers and represent Nsight & Cellcom in a professional manner while assisting customers with their installations and repair needs.
• Installation of business and residential internet, video and telephone service

oDSL : Digital Subscriber Line, FTTH : Fiber to the home, TDM POTS and T1.

May also include installation and repair of CBRS (Citizens Broadband Radio Service) to provide internet services

oCustomer premise equipment : network-interface device, router, set-top box. Ensure current firmware and configurations are on equipment

oPerform internal wiring as required.

oTimely, accurately and thoroughly complete all required service order, trouble ticket, plant and equipment records

Repair business and residential internet, video and telephone service.

oIdentify root cause of problem.

oFix issues or escalate if needed to ensure customers services are in working order in a timely manner.

oTimely, accurately and thoroughly complete all required service order, trouble ticket, drop / maintenance, plant and equipment records

oResponsible for assisting with trouble tickets and outages.

Maintain accurate and complete plant records in a timely manner.

oProcess all returned equipment

Cleaned, reset and put neatly in inventory

Forms filled out if repairs are needed

• May assist with or complete site surveys for projects and wiring quotes as needed.
• May assist the Network and Systems team with repair, install and maintaining plant and network equipment as requested
• Identify ways to improve or streamline current processes when possible.
• Assist the plant operations team with projects and initiative for process improvements and implementation of best practices.
• May assist with special project work including but not limited to multi-dwelling unit builds and rewires, subdivision fiber allocation, Site Optimization projects.
• Perform other related duties as requested or required.

What we're looking for :

You need to bring...

• Four-year high school education or equivalent.
• One-year post-high school telecom or equivalent in work experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License

Physical / Visual / Mental Demands :

• Position requires the ability to react, move about, install, remove and replace objects, climb ladder, exchange information verbally, detect and observe things;
• drive an automobile; lift and move 80 pounds; work with little or no on site supervision, usually alone but sometimes with others;
• requires the use hand tools, personal computer and company vehicle; color perception and near and far vision is required;

works with mechanical and electrical devices.

Typical Working Conditions :

The person in this position will often work outside in changing temperatures and elements; normal work hours are Monday through Friday between 7 : 30 A.

M. and 5 : 00 P.M. On-call shifts are required, and staff participates in an on-call rotation of weeknight and weekend support.

There may be times an employee is called in after hours to assist with outages.
