Job Description

The Software Product Analyst II position is responsible for analysis, design, testing, and ultimately the success of the Infinite Campus software products.

Must be legally authorized to work within country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B) now and / or in the future.

Job Responsibilities

Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders regarding project progress and issue escalation.

Participate in the evolution / implementation of product development processes and tools.

Facilitate agile planning, estimation and communication.

Recognize technical problems or design flaws and recommend preventive or corrective action.

Identify and implement ways to reuse components across designs and / or projects.

Monitor education regulations and / or industry competition and identify changes in requirements or functionality.

Break down high-level business cases into functional and / or regulatory written requirements and UI designs.

Perform analysis / verification, ensuring that requirements are consistent , concise, comprehensible , verifiable, and based on department Best Practices using the documentation template provided for this purpose.

Work with team members to ensure that requirements are interpreted and fulfilled correctly.

Conduct formal user feedback sessions and collaborate to determine how requests fit into product development. Users include school district or state department of education personnel.

Work with the Architecture team to identify entity relationships so database schema can be abstracted into a common, reusable form.

Test product functionality; analyze and debug product issues.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders such as channel partners, product managers, support representatives, client executives, architects, developers, technical writers, project managers, and quality assurance personnel.

Proofread customer-facing product documentation.

Conduct knowledge transfers when needed.

Create and deliver presentations to various internal / external users with varying levels of product knowledge.

Use agile planning, estimation, communication and release processes

Access Infinite Campus production customer data and production data in public test adhering to the practices and procedures outlined in the master security guidelines

Other related duties as assigned

Desired Background

BA / BS Degree and three years business analysis experience OR five years business analysis experience

  • Technical competence, particularly in the area of relational database management systems and web-based software applications
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

Position must adhere to the practices and procedures outlined in the master security guidelines.
