Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery / Postpartum role requiring at least 2 years of recent LDRP experience and multiple certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in a hospital-based Labor & Delivery / Postpartum unit with 29 beds and 1 OR suite
  • Approximately 1,500 patients served annually, including high-risk obstetric and gynecological surgical cases
  • Patient ratios are acuity-based with support from CNAs, surgical technologists, and OB techs
  • Uses EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, Philips and GE fetal monitoring equipment
  • Shifts are 7a-7p or 7p-7a in a 6-week schedule rotation
  • Floating required within the defined regional facilities, in scope of LDRP practice
  • No remote telemetry monitoring
  • Duties include caring for antepartum, laboring, and postpartum patients, supporting gynecological surgeries, and providing lactation support
  • Support team includes OB techs, CNAs / STs, case manager, charge nurse, and 24 / 7 physician and respiratory therapy coverage
  • Hospital-issued navy blue scrubs are required during shifts; business casual attire permitted to and from work
  • Free parking available onsite
  • Up to 6 days of time off may be approved, not including holidays, with contract extension if needed to fulfill hours
  • Must be comfortable floating to multiple facilities within the same healthcare region based on staffing needs

    • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience
  • Current certifications required : BLS, ACLS, NRP, and EFM
  • Ability to work all aspects of LDRP patient care including circulating for cesarean births and newborn care
  • Experience with Epic EMR preferred
  • Must live at least 50 miles away from the home unit for eligibility
  • First-time travelers not accepted for this assignment
