Commercial Litigation Attorney

Commercial Litigation Attorney - Remote (Chicago-Based Role)

A well-established Chicago law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its team in a fully remote capacity . The ideal candidate will have experience handling complex business and commercial disputes, including contract litigation, business torts, shareholder matters, and related civil litigation. This position offers the opportunity to work with a tight-knit litigation team while enjoying the flexibility of a remote work environment.

Salary & Benefits

Competitive base salary range of $180,000 - $225,000, depending on experience

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Admission to the Illinois Bar in good standing

4+ years of experience in commercial or business litigation

Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

Experience managing cases from initial pleadings through discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation

Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong communication with colleagues and clients

Excellent organizational and analytical abilities

Responsibilities

Handle a broad range of commercial litigation matters in both state and federal courts

Draft pleadings, briefs, motions, discovery requests, and settlement documents

Conduct depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances as needed

Develop litigation strategies and evaluate case strengths, risks, and potential outcomes

Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, strategic advice, and case evaluations

Collaborate with partners and team members to ensure effective case management and high-quality client service

Participate in settlement negotiations and trial preparation
