Location : Hartford, CT (Onsite) - Open to local candidates from Hartford, CT, Atlanta, GA, or nearby states

Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with deep expertise in the Property & Casualty insurance industry to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and innovative technology solutions. The architect will collaborate with business and technical teams to align IT strategy with business objectives and drive digital transformation initiatives across underwriting, claims, policy administration, and customer engagement.

Position : Contract 6+ Months

Responsibilities :

Lead the architecture and design of end-to-end solutions in the insurance domain.

Collaborate with stakeholders to align business goals with technology strategy.

Architect scalable, secure, and resilient systems using .NET, Azure, React, and PostgreSQL.

Oversee microservices-based and event-driven architectures.

Ensure compliance with insurance regulatory and data governance requirements.

Drive innovation through AI tools, chatbots, and self-service digital solutions.

Integrate core insurance systems (Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco) into enterprise ecosystems.

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

12+ years of IT experience, with 4+ years as a Solution Architect in the insurance industry .

Strong understanding of Property & Casualty business processes - underwriting, claims, policy lifecycle, and reinsurance.

Hands-on experience with insurance platforms such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, or Majesco .

Expertise in .NET, Azure, React, PostgreSQL , and Microservices architecture .

Familiarity with AI / ML technologies , DevOps practices , and Cloud platforms .

Knowledge of enterprise integration (SOAP / REST APIs, ESBs) and event-driven systems .

TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture certification preferred.
