ASN Constructors is a joint venture of three international contractors (Acciona, Shikun & Binui and North American Construction Group) who will work with the Metro Flood Diversion Authority and other area stakeholders to build a historic project that will protect the citizens of the Fargo-Moorhead area from flood waters from the Red River. The Field Engineer Intern will assist and be under the guidance of other engineering staff working on projects to meet various heavy / civil construction needs. This position may also require the successful candidate to evaluate, inspect, design, estimate, and provide project management of heavy / civil construction projects.

Responsibilities :

• Performs project-specific observations, and inspection duties under general supervision.
• Assist with analyzing survey reports, maps, drawings, plans, specifications, contractual documents, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects
• Assist with the inspection quality of work performed during the daily activities of the overall construction on heavy civil projects. Included but not limited to; roads, environmental, excavations, concrete and rebar.
• Demonstrate good organizational, planning and time management skills
• Help detects deficiencies and address deficiencies in a timely and effective manner
• Work with the field engineering staff acting as their field representative ensuring construction complies with the QA / QC requirements.
• Interface with field foreman and superintendents to maintain an open line of communication and reporting monitor job progress
• Assist with managing project document control
• Assist with managing procurement of materials and consumables, including vendor pre-qualifications and development of RFQ’s
• Interact cross-functionally with Field Engineers and other team members.
• Performs related work as required.
