Within our portfolio of companies, International SOS Government Medical Services (GMS), headquartered in Houston, Texas provides contracted healthcare support to Government defense and civil agencies and government contractors, including support to military exercises and operations, diplomatic missions, natural disasters, and refugee care.
This position is contingent upon award of contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes or abnormalities
- Assist with patient assessments and document findings accurately
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Follow aseptic techniques to prevent infection transmission
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during difficult times
Job Profile
Requirements :
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems such as Cerner, Epic, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of medical coding procedures and documentation requirements
- Experience in various healthcare settings such as assisted living, medical offices, acute care, or cardiac catheterization labs is preferred
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and pain management protocols is a plus.
