Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Seeking a highly skilled, compassionate, and dedicated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our dynamic surgical team in New York. This is a unique opportunity to provide essential anesthesia services in our state-of-the-art Operating Room (OR) and modern Surgery Center, while enjoying a consistent Monday-Friday schedule with no call and no OB responsibilities.
What You'll Do :
As a CRNA, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive anesthesia care to a diverse patient population undergoing various surgical procedures. Your key responsibilities will include :
- Pre-Anesthetic Assessment : Conduct thorough pre-operative patient evaluations, including reviewing medical history, conducting physical assessments, and selecting appropriate anesthetic plans based on patient needs and surgical requirements.
- Anesthesia Administration : Administer and manage all types of anesthesia (general, regional, local, and sedation) for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.
- Intraoperative Monitoring : Continuously monitor patient vital signs, physiological responses, and anesthetic depth during procedures, making real-time adjustments as necessary to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Post-Anesthetic Care : Oversee patient recovery in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), managing post-operative pain, nausea, and other potential complications.
- Equipment Management : Prepare, maintain, and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment and supplies, ensuring all instruments are in proper working order.
- Collaboration : Work closely and effectively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal surgical outcomes.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate and timely patient records, documenting all aspects of anesthesia care in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Patient Education : Provide clear and concise information to patients and their families regarding the anesthetic process, potential risks, and recovery expectations.
- Quality Improvement : Participate in quality improvement initiatives, safety protocols, and continuing education to enhance anesthesia practices and patient care.
What You'll Bring :
Active certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).Current and unrestricted RN licensure in the State of New York (or eligibility to obtain).Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.Minimum of [X] years of experience as a CRNA preferred (if applicable, otherwise remove).Demonstrated ability to manage a wide range of anesthetic techniques and patient complexities.Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.Commitment to patient safety and adherence to best practices in anesthesia care.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.Schedule :

Highly Competitive Base Salary : USD $285,000 - $305,000Performance Incentives : Opportunities f
