Vice President Advanced Practice Providers

BayCare Health System is seeking a Vice President Advanced Practice Providers to provide clinical and administrative leadership for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). This role collaborates with the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Nurse Executive to design and implement care delivery systems, improve quality, timeliness, efficiency and cost-effectiveness, and promote patient-focused care. The position also develops resources and guidelines for APPs and leads an APP leadership council to set strategic direction.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative leadership, direction and support to APPs for practice development, decision-making and professional development.
• Serve as an expert resource to promote excellent critical care and professional development for advanced practice nurses, physician assistants and other APPs.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to design and implement care delivery systems, seeking opportunities to improve quality, timeliness, efficiency and cost-effectiveness of care.
• Develop templates, resources and guidelines for administrative and clinical managers of APPs for consistency.
• Establish and sustain an APP leadership council to develop the strategic direction for the APP team and implement its plan.
• Work with leadership to develop programs, services and initiatives to anticipate future APP needs.
• Identify shared opportunities between Medical Officers and APPs to increase efficiencies and foster team-based care and a collaborative culture.
