Senior Medical Coder

A company is looking for a Senior Medical Coder.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform concurrent review of coding rules to ensure accurate CPT and E / M code assignment

Utilize medical coding software and resources to identify appropriate medical codes and resolve coding edits or denials

Generate queries for unclear clinical documentation and follow up with providers for timely responses

Required Qualifications :

High School Diploma / GED or higher

Coding Certification from AAPC or AHIMA (CPC-A)

3+ years of coding experience in family medicine

Advanced proficiency with ICD-10-CM, CPT, Modifiers & HCPCS coding guidelines

Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, disease processes, and anatomy and physiology
