Responsibilities Work in an acute care hospital Level I trauma center with a dedicated cardiac catheterization laboratory Patient population is primarily middle-aged and older adults requiring diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures Procedures include cardiac stent placement, closure device implantation, left / right heart catheterizations, IABP, PCI, PTCA, rotablader athrectomy, and more Shifts are available as 4x12s (6 : 30 AM-7 : 00 PM), with potential flexibility for 3x12, 4x10, or 5x8 shifts Weekend work required for 2-3 weekends per contract Call required, rotating with staff and dedicated call team; call frequency may vary based on census Cerner EMR experience required Scrubs provided Responsible for cardiac catheterization procedures including device implantation, angiography, and assisting interventional cardiologists as part of a multidisciplinary team Assignments are 13 or 26 weeks, with flexibility based on mutual agreement No floating outside cath lab required First-time travelers welcome Maximum of 5 days requested time off preferred; holiday coverage required for at least 2 out of 3 major holidays Locals accepted with no radius restriction Candidates must not have been employed as permanent or PRN staff at the facility within the past 12 months Parking is provided with a permit obtained during orientation Requirements Minimum 1 year of recent diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab experience required Active IL license required if applicable Current ARRT or RCIS certification required BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or Red Cross required; RQI cards not accepted Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical record system required Demonstrated ability to interpret dysrhythmias and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias Experience with equipment setup, infection control protocols, sterile technique, isolation precautions, and procedural responsibility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-619672.
