Job Summary :

This role is pivotal in driving category strategy for multiple complex and high-impact categories within the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing effective sourcing strategies that align with business objectives. This position involves planning and leading competitive sourcing events, negotiating with suppliers, managing risk mitigation efforts, and forming contracts with critical suppliers.

Responsibilities :

• Lead the development and implementation of category strategies to optimize costs and improve operations.
• Apply best practice approaches to manage multiple critical categories effectively.
• Collaborate with logistics personnel to implement optimal inventory strategies.
• Conduct analyses of supply, demand, market trends, commodity pricing, supplier performance, and contract modeling to inform category strategies.
• Monitor industry information and supplier risk profiles to keep category strategies aligned with business requirements.
• Develop complex sourcing events while qualifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers for targeted categories of spend.
• Manage tier I supplier relationships focused on improving total cost of ownership, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Create performance-based scorecards to monitor and evaluate supplier performance; lead dispute resolution efforts with suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts that support category strategies while fulfilling business area requirements; manage contractor claims effectively.
• Administer all category contract agreements while ensuring compliance with contract terms by suppliers.
• Collaborate with business area management to define risk elements of contracts and assemble necessary documentation for insurance procurement.
• Create and manage project plans for implementing category strategies; integrate sourcing plans with business project plans.
