Facilities - Maintenance

Responsibilities

  • Manage university vehicle program in compliance with FSU policy 4-PO-E-8. Documentation responsibilities include conducting business with the Florida Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles (FDHSMV), maintaining Titles in an orderly and secure manner, and verifying OMNI and AIM information is consistent. Maintenance responsibilities include the scheduling of all maintenance safety and preventive maintenance processes for campus vehicles and portable equipment, field inspections of equipment, and verification that all activities involving fleet management are documented. Use of the AiM integrated workplace management system to complete work orders for preventive and repair maintenance activities. Notification to departments regarding managed vehicles subject to recall and documentation of the correction. Monitors inventory levels and submits requests as needed.
  • Supervises and leads the Fuel Management Assistant in FSU Facilities and oversees this operation. Trains, directs workflow and ensures the staff member is executing the necessary software, computer applications, and communications with university contacts appropriately. Responsible for the overall direction of improving and maintaining the efficiency of the Fuel Master system.
  • Responsible for overseeing and directing the Facilities Warehouse operations. Supervises, trains and coordinates with the Warehouse Manager to ensure that all policies, procedures, inventories, receiving, and issuance's are effectively carried out, and that the warehouse is an accessible, efficient, and safe environment. Ensures that staff are properly trained in appropriate areas as well as certified for necessary skills such as, but not limited, for lift operation. Oversight of AiM software integration between the warehouse operation and other necessary functional areas.
  • Responsible for asset management in FSU's Integrated Workplace Management System, AIM for University assets, including field inspections to verify equipment condition, review of contractor performance, and updates to the system for added or removed equipment. Ensure that each all equipment has an associated preventative maintenance schedule. Track performance metrics on preventive maintenance inspections to verify that they have been completed on schedule. Responsible for using AiM mobile devices for Facilities maintenance fleet related activities as well as fuel management.
  • Responsible for working with customers, departments, technicians, and associated vendors to a) develop reporting, b) review periodic reports, and c) assess and optimize the fleet, d) complete all required and associated paperwork and communications. The incumbent shall carry out compliance with established policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal FSU audits. Provide detailed information to other department leaders as to failure to comply with the program and troubleshoot discrepancies. Able to use MS Excel, Word and other tools to manage operations. Completes other relevant duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and two years' experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.
  • A valid State of Florida or Georgia Driver's License or ability to obtain upon hire.

    Anticipated Salary Range

    The anticipated starting salary is $40,910, commensurate with experience.
