We are looking for a Manufacturing Test Engineer
Summary :
In this role, you will be a key contributor to the test of new electronic products and to the support of manufacturing and field service teams engaged in the production and sustainment of railroad communication products.
Member of the test team. Responsibilities include support the identification and definition of the detailed system and subsystem tests for communication systems and their associated interfaces with other applications.
Prepare test plans, test reports and defining test configurations to support required tests. Additional responsibilities include supporting the Contract Manufacturing operations and transitioning new products into production.
Appropriately represent the needs of stakeholders while maintaining overall project integrity.
Primary Duties :
- Act as the liaison for manufacturing test activities between MCC, EMS and 3rd party test service vendors.
- Collaborate with EMS vendors to produce fully qualified manufacturing test systems.
- Support manufacturing test system requirements definition and architecture.
- Support EMS vendor manufacturing test work activities.
- Participate in the development of test plans and test cases.
- Participate in the development of DFX requirements.
- Participate in functional, integration, usability, configuration and installation testing.
- Prepare test results and status.
- Evaluate the outcome of each test cycle and participate in reviews.
- Support root-cause analysis and sustaining engineering for complex radio systems.
- Support automated software development, validation, and deployment (LabVIEW and TestStand)
- Support product development for automated test systems; feature development, troubleshooting, validation, deployment, etc.
- Support project management and oversight for test systems in a repair environment.
- Prepare ECRs, ECOs, Deviations and other documentation supporting Manufacturing Processes as required.
- Travel to Contract Manufacturing facilities (domestic) as required.
Required :
- Minimum of a BS degree in engineering, computer science, or related STEM field
- General knowledge of Ethernet networks, TCP / IP, and other communication protocols
- General knowledge of embedded software, Python, and real time systems
- 2-5 years' experience with Electronic Equipment Manufacturing and Manufacturing Test Processes.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus well-developed office software skills
- Organized and detailed self starter, able to work independently with moderate supervision.
- Adapts readily to changes in scope and purpose.
- Understanding of common device failures and faults.
- Experience with strategic vendor management.
- 2-5 years of experience developing automated test systems with LabVIEW and TestStand
- Experience with monitor and control interfacing in an automated test environment
- 2-5 years' experience with communication systems test engineering and requirements analysis
- Experience with development or testing of wireless systems and products
- RF hardware testing experience. Understands basic concepts of radio communications.
- General knowledge of both manual and automated testing of embedded systems
- General knowledge of common wireless protocols, network topologies, and IT infrastructure
- Clear understanding of embedded system development practices
- General knowledge of telecom networks

Compensation : The pay range for this position is $81,202 to $126,806. Employees new to this role can expect to make $81,812 to $96,811.
In addition, there is a potential yearly bonus at 8% of base salary.
Hybrid work schedule - working onsite at our Renton location Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Travel to Contract Manufacturing facilities (domestic) as required approximately 10% to 20% of base business needs.
