We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior DeltaV Engineer in our Raleigh, NC office. This position is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and project management of large-scale capital automation projects within the Life Sciences industry. It requires proficiency with Emerson DeltaV systems and a strong technical background in designing and delivering cGMP-compliant automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complete project life cycles, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize biopharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Design and implement DeltaV control systems for complex Life Sciences capital projects.

Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring on-time and within-budget project execution.

Lead system architecture development and control strategies to enhance manufacturing efficiency.

Design batch sequencing, phase logic, and recipe structures to optimize production efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Develop DeltaV graphics using DeltaV Live and DeltaV Operate in alignment with ISA-101 HMI guidelines.

Utilize a class-based approach in overall design to maximize scalability and standardization across projects.

Develop electrical designs, including power distribution, panel layouts, and grounding strategies for automation systems.

Specify and procure instrumentation and hardware components.

Design and implement industrial networking solutions, including Ethernet / IP, Profibus, and Foundation Fieldbus.

Integrate 3rd party equipment with DeltaV systems using protocols such as OPC UA, Ethernet / IP, and Modbus.

Essential Skills

Proficiency with Emerson DeltaV systems.

Strong technical background in designing and delivering cGMP-compliant automation solutions.

Experience in managing complete project life cycles.

Ability to ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Proficiency in DeltaV Live and DeltaV Operate.

Knowledge of ISA-101 HMI guidelines.

Strong project management skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in the Life Sciences industry.

Knowledge of industrial networking solutions such as Ethernet / IP, Profibus, and Foundation Fieldbus.

Experience with integrating 3rd party equipment using protocols such as OPC UA, Ethernet / IP, and Modbus.

Work Environment

The role is based in an office desk / cubicle environment with frequent use of computers, engineering tools, and industrial control systems. There may be occasional lifting, climbing, and working in production facilities during commissioning activities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Raleigh, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $160000.00 / yr.
