Position Overview
Our client, a rapidly expanding healthcare services platform backed by a leading private equity firm, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organization through its next phase of aggressive growth, operational integration, and strategic expansion.
The company operates across hospice, home care, dental clinics, and urgent care , with a strong acquisition pipeline and a long-term vision of building a unified, scalable, multi-specialty healthcare platform. The executive team is headquartered in Austin, Texas , and the CEO will work closely with the board, private equity partners, and clinical / operational leaders to accelerate growth and drive value creation.
This role requires a proven leader who has successfully scaled multi-site healthcare organizations through M&A transactions and organic growth , with a hands-on, execution-first approach.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Define and execute a multi-year strategy to scale the platform across hospice, home health, dental, and urgent care verticals.
- Align the organization to the private equity firm's value creation plan, including integration, operational excellence, and margin expansion.
- Build a clear vision for future-state structure, capabilities, culture, and market positioning.
M&A Leadership & Integration
Lead end-to-end M&A activity, including target sourcing, due diligence, deal structuring, integration planning, and post-close execution.Build and refine a repeatable acquisition and integration playbook across clinical, operational, finance, and technology functions.Partner with PE sponsors on evaluating acquisition targets and assessing strategic fit.Operational Excellence & Multi-Site Leadership
Oversee day-to-day operations across hospice, home health, dental clinics, and urgent care centers.Drive performance improvement initiatives focused on clinical quality, patient outcomes, compliance, and operational efficiency.Standardize processes, systems, and reporting across all business units to ensure scalability and compliance.Implement KPIs and dashboards that provide visibility into financial, clinical, and operational performance.Organic Growth & Market Development
Develop strategies to expand service lines, launch new sites, strengthen referral networks, and deepen payer relationships.Partner with clinical leaders to maintain exceptional patient care standards while driving sustainable revenue growth.Lead branding, marketing, sales, and community outreach efforts to expand market share.Executive Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and elevate a high-performing executive and regional operations team based in Austin, TXRecruit strong leaders to fill gaps in clinical, operational, and administrative functions as needed.Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, transparency, and mission-driven execution.Financial Stewardship
Own full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.Drive margin improvement initiatives related to labor optimization, pricing strategies, procurement, and operational discipline.Maintain strong cash flow, capital allocation strategies, and oversight of financial controls.Governance & Stakeholder Engagement
Prepare and deliver financial and operational updates to the board of directors and PE sponsors.Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, payer requirements, and industry best practices.Serve as a trusted leader capable of representing the organization with investors, partners, regulators, and key external stakeholders.Qualifications
Required
Proven experience as a CEO, COO, Division President, or GM within healthcare services , ideally multi-site.Background leading organizations in hospice, home health, home care, urgent care, dental, behavioral health, or clinic-based businessesDemonstrated success owning or significantly contributing to M&A transactions , including integration and roll-up strategies.Track record of driving organic growth across multi-state or multi-location healthcare operations.Experience working with private equity investors and executing on value-creation plans.Strong leader who excels at building teams, shaping culture, and leading through complexity.Willing and able to travel ~40%.Preferred
