Position Overview

We’re seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to join the Competition team at 23XI Racing. In this working manager role, you’ll lead and mentor a high-performing engineering group while actively contributing to the development and integration of vehicle systems. You’ll collaborate across design, assembly, simulation, testing, data analytics, and race operations to maximize race car performance and reliability. The ideal candidate is proactive, has proven leadership capabilities, possesses a strong understanding of vehicle dynamics and sub-systems, is technically sound in component design, and thrives in both independent and cross-functional settings. This position reports to the Senior Director of Competition, partners closely with Team Managers and Department Heads, and collaborates with OEM representatives, Technical Partners, and vendors. NASCAR Cup Series experience is highly preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Engineering Leadership

Contribute to critical deliverables while setting technical directions and standards.

Coordinate with simulation engineers to validate and integrate high-fidelity vehicle models.

Lead development and integration of vehicle sub-systems including steering, braking, electrical, and driveline systems independently and in conjunction with OEM and Technical Partners.

Plan and support on-track, dyno, and lab testing to validate component and vehicle performance.
