RN-NICU Director (Permanent Role)

Location : Austin, TX, 73301

Shift : Variable Shift

Guaranteed Hours : (36 hours / week)

Compensation : Based on experience (Negotiable)

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the NICU, ensuring quality and efficiency in care delivery.
• Oversee budgeting, staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations within the NICU.
• Develop and implement departmental goals, standards, and policies aligned with organizational objectives.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and regulatory body requirements, including Joint Commission standards.
• Promote a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of NICU staff.
• Provide mentorship and leadership development to nursing staff.
• Monitor key performance indicators and lead quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications :
• Education :

Bachelor's Degree or approved education plan required.

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas or an active compact license.

Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare is required.
