Immediately hiring an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a large manufacturing plant on the southside of San Antonio.. As the Maintenance Technician for the facility, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment, CNC machinery, robotics, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems.
Pay is up to $26 / hr. depending on experience (shift differential offered)
Day / night shifts, on the 3 day / 4 day
Electrical Maintenance Tech duties :
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing production machinery and systems.
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance to prevent downtown and streamline production process.
- Maintain and update maintenance records and work orders using the CMMS system.
- Identify recurring issues and assist in developing root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Extensive hands-on work with control panels, high-voltage circuits (up to 480V), and transformers.
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on motors, drives, gearboxes, pumps, actuators, and conveyors.
- Locate and identify faults and / or hazards, repair as required.
- Troubleshoot and repair control circuits, sensors, relays, VFDs, and PLC-controlled systems.
- Wire, build, and modify electrical control panels according to schematics and engineering drawings.
- Inspect, test, and replace transformers, breakers, fuses, and wiring harnesses.
- Run hydraulic hoses, repair leaks as necessary and run electrical conduit throughout production floor.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC ladder logic.
- Testing systems using multimeters, meggers, oscilloscopes, and other electrical diagnostic tools.
- Perform post-repair audits to ensure safety features are functional.
- Contribute to automation and controls maintenance projects as a critical member of the Maintenance Department.
- Perform calibration, parameter adjustments, and software backups on CNC controllers and HMIs.
- Collaborate with automation engineers to install and commission new CNC and robotic systems.
- Diagnose issues with CNC machine control systems including Pilot Bench Machine, Ellis Drill Press, Allen-Bradley, and similar machinery / platforms.
Requirements :
Seeking at least 3 yrs. Manufacturing Maintenance experience with electrical and mechanical background.Must have previous electrical maintenance experience specifically working with high voltage.Ability to document maintenance logs and write electrical maintenance reports.Proven experience with mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, conveyors, and pumps.Must be able to read and interpret technical and electrical blueprints / drawings.Proficient in use of multimeters, meggers, and oscilloscopes.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities throughout plant.Adhere to all electrical and machine safety protocols, including proper PPE, and lockout / tagout procedures.Please call / text 210-664-2680
