SUMMARY :

Responsible for identifying, qualifying, and providing value-added service to customers through industrial supply sales. Monitors industry trends, identifies emerging markets, and develops a comprehensive plan to capture additional market share. An ambassador of the company and a trusted face to our customers while adhering to company values.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven work experience as a sales representative in the industrial supply industry
  • Must have a clean driving record and vehicle to visit customer sites

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES :

  • Highly self-motivated and target-driven
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills
  • Relationship management skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience / customer needs.

    • ESSENTIAL DUTIES :

  • Develop and execute a sales plan in the local territory to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Sell industrial and maintenance supplies business to business
  • Conduct cold calls with manufacturing, maintenance, construction, and other industrial job sites
  • Maintain and grow the existing customer base through consultive sales
  • Other duties assigned by the regional manager to ensure local branch success

    • Revenue Qualification :

  • New hire or current book of business averaging below $70,000+ in monthly sales, $840,000+ in annual sales.

    • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Must be able to efficiently use a personal computer equipped with a standard keyboard and mouse
  • Ability to communicate in English to locate, read, and report information
  • Lift, lower, and carry product up to 50 lbs. and regularly sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Ability to drive own vehicle daily to customer sites
