Responsibilities Work in the Emergency Department of a Level 1 Trauma Center Night shift schedule, working 3x12-hour shifts from 7 : 00 p.m. to 7 : 30 a.m. Every other weekend (2 per month) is required Mandatory floating to other units or Cook facilities within 50 miles at the facility's discretion Uses Cerner EMR system Scrub color requirement is navy blue (not provided) Primary responsibilities include triaging and caring for emergency department patients in a high-acuity setting Must be willing to float outside home unit or facility per need, occasionally with short notice Team-based model may be used when floated outside primary competency area No block scheduling or special schedule requests permitted Holiday coverage required with no time off approved on or around holidays, or weekends No more than 5 days RTO allowed with a maximum of 2 consecutive days Compliance with all onboarding requirements, including timely lab work, is strictly enforced Parking is available for $2 / day at a nearby lot with shuttle service Requirements Active IL RN license required upon submission Minimum of 2 years recent acute care ED experience Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required Experience working in a trauma environment strongly preferred COVID vaccination required prior to start (booster not required) Must live within 75 miles to be considered as a local Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-625995.
