Job Description

Overview :

Responsibilities involve the integration of programmatic, technical, systems engineering, business, and personnel elements of a project, including :

Understanding the technical requirements, concepts of operation, and architecture of the overall solution. It requires working closely with the Pre- and Post-Sales teams to align the requirements with customer solution needs.

Leading and defending the project's technical and programmatic decisions. It requires identifying customer expectation mismatches and working with the Project Manager to mitigate them.

Tailoring and applying change management and systems engineering processes. Requires working with the customer and engineering teams when implementing solutions including third-party applications.

Assists Project Management in developing and managing costs and schedules by identifying technical risks to the deployment plan and suggesting mitigation options for those risks.

Participating as the technical counterpart to the Project Manager for the third-party, customer, and internal meetings.

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelor of Science or an Associate's Degree in a technical or engineering field and 6+ years of technical or engineering experience;

OR 8+ years of experience in delivering Public Safety projects in a technical role or enterprise-level technical deployment projects.

Excellent presentation skills, highly skilled with drawing and diagramming tools (such as MS Visio or similar).

Strong verbal and written skills; fluency in English.

Willing to travel, occasionally, 25% of the time.

This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.
