Reporting to the Executive Director, Financial Planning & Analysis , this role is responsible for supporting the plant operations function.

  • This position is the primary point of contact on the Finance Team to support the Engineering departments. Key responsibilities include setting and maintaining standard costs for multiple product lines;
  • estimating product costs for new and existing products; investigating month-to-month variance in costs standard vs current costs;

reporting KPIs related to product costs and inventory; analyzing material and LOH variances; supporting cost reduction initiatives and annual forecasts / AOP.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Monitor, analyze and report out on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to engineering department activities.
  • Support engineering projects and cost reduction efforts.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to assess spending requirements to support the business needs and assist with the review and approval process for both OpEx and CapEx spending requests.
  • Support the financial close process for engineering related entries and analysis.
  • Prepare timely reports and presentations to finance and engineering management.
  • Support Ad Hoc projects and analysis, as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present complex data to a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers
  • Ability to reconcile large data sets and intermediate to advanced level skills in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Business Intelligence reporting tools
  • Ability to prioritize and perform in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to thrive in a team-based environment
  • Continuously perform to high ethical standards and those established from an Internal Controls / Legal perspective.
