Job Summary :
As a Platform Engineer at MUFG, you will work within Technology Infrastructure and Operations (TIO), Enterprise Technology Services (ETS), Enterprise Information Security (EIS), and the Risk and Control Office. Your focus will be on building Kubernetes or OpenShift-based container platforms as part of MUFG's Platform as a Service (PaaS). You will support the deployment of container platform capabilities, leveraging software engineering, security engineering, site reliability engineering (SRE), and open source software (OSS) to enhance application development and platform operations. Your role involves collaborating with application and infrastructure teams to architect, design, and implement solutions, leading MUFG's technological transformation.
Responsibilities :
- Support technology strategy, governance, and end-to-end processes such as Container Platform Orchestration.
- Implement automated, containerized cloud application platform solutions focusing on networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, high availability, and resilience.
- Use deep technical expertise to address complex inquiries, understand architecture, data landscape, sources, and applications.
- Act as a technical expert to ensure technology performance, working closely with solution architects, infrastructure teams, and developers to create resilient, efficient, and recoverable solutions.
- Recommend improvements to project management methodologies and tools.
- Partner with program management, architecture, system owners, vendors, testing, and other teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Drive planning at various organizational levels to keep IT delivery on track.
- Communicate schedules, manage dependencies, and coordinate across teams to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
- Align activities across delivery teams for cohesive execution.
- Contribute to executive updates on strategy, budget, delivery, risks, and controls.
- Oversee reporting for management review sessions.
- Track technology-related expenditures.
- Research and analyze technical solutions, collaborating with infrastructure and development teams for installation and configuration.
- Promote modern, agile delivery practices and uphold high standards in design and engineering.
Requirements :
5+ years in systems engineering, designing and implementing solutions on OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), with focus on high availability, disaster recovery, cost efficiency, and performance; automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, Python, Shell Script; experience with RedHat OpenShift on AWS (ROSA) and AWS EKS.5+ years supporting, troubleshooting, and migrating legacy applications to OpenShift and EKS.5+ years developing dashboards, performing root cause analysis with Dynatrace and Splunk to resolve performance issues.3+ years creating and managing CI / CD pipelines with Tekton, ArgoCD, GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps.3+ years managing container image security and governance using RedHat Advanced Cluster Security.Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently, with analytical thinking, planning, and problem-solving skills.Experience leading large, complex initiatives over at least 6 months.Knowledge of compute infrastructure, virtualization, Windows / Linux platforms, hybrid cloud networking, security, and automation.Education :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
