Colorado Ready-Mix Sales Manager
The Colorado Ready-Mix Sales Manager oversees the sales of ready-mix concrete by developing strategies to meet revenue targets, building relationships with contractors and builders, preparing competitive bids, and analyzing market trends. The Sales Manager coordinates with production and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and provides sales forecasts and performance reports to management.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Manage the multiple sales markets across the state by directing the efforts of the Sales Representatives based on the intangibles in the marketplace
- Train salespeople to sell ready-mixed concrete and other concrete-related products within the area
- Work with individual Outside Sales Representatives regarding market conditions, market analysis, and areas to grow our sales in the following sectors : Public / Government, Commercial, and Residential
- Maintain daily contact with the construction and construction-related community through personal relationships and by participating in industry-related and other organizations to promote the company's products
- Reports on information regarding changing market conditions, volumes, ASP, and future activity to General Manager and Management Team
- Develops and maintains relationships with all project managers and decision-makers. Quotes, follows-up and reports conclusion(s) on all bid projects. Quotes prices and credit terms, prepares proposals and contracts for orders obtained.
- Trains salespeople in product knowledge, making sales calls, servicing customer accounts, troubleshooting, effectively communicating with plant personnel, and preparing reports
- Tracks planned and negotiated projects. Responsible for identifying, working with, and tracking projects in the early stage of development until project completion
- Develops a strong team to initiate, investigate, and resolve quality issues for customers, and supports the product and company during the process
- Works positively and as a team with the management, dispatch, plant personnel, quality control, and sales team
- Assists in collecting past due customer accounts and helps resolve customer-related issues
- Prepare reports regarding business activities, forecasts, transactions, and maintain accurate expense reports
- Reports market information, including movements by competitors, to the management team
- Manages the daily activities of the sales team, including, but not limited to : training, tracking current and prospective jobs, identifying customer contacts, etc.
