Job descriptionPrior pathology medical coding / billing experience required, specifically with ICD-10-CM and CPT coding Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical billing software
We are seeking a Medical Coder to join our temporary staff. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing pathology reports and assigning appropriate codes to diagnoses and procedures.
Key Responsibilities :
- Examine pathology reports to identify relevant information.
- Use coding systems (ICD-10-CM and CPT) to assign accurate codes to diagnoses and procedures.
- Verify that all codes are accurate
- Work cross functionally with internal and external partners to resolve any discrepancies or questions.
- Assist management with daily and monthly reporting, as needed.
