AVP - Northeast (Director Of Sales)

Do you want to help make the world safe from cyber attack? At Corelight, we believe that the best approach to cybersecurity risk starts with the network. Attackers can evade endpoint detection, firewalls and many other technologies - but they can't avoid leaving digital footprints on the networks they traverse. Built on open-source innovations from Zeek, Suricata and YARA and refined through years of real-world use, Corelight transforms network footprints from physical, virtual and cloud networks into actionable insights. Our customers use these insights to speed incident response and proactively hunt for threats.

We are seeking a Director of Sales to lead, coach, and develop a team of Account Executives in the Northeast territory. This is a critical leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, ensuring sales excellence, and fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Strategic & Enterprise Account Executives, fostering professional growth and career development.
  • Own and drive revenue growth within the assigned region, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
  • Partner with RVPs and executive leadership to define and execute area sales strategy.
  • Coach reps on effective pipeline development, deal strategy, forecasting accuracy, and execution against Corelight's sales methodology.
  • Ensure consistent adoption of sales processes, playbooks, and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (SEs, Marketing, Channel, Product) to drive joint success in the region.
  • Track performance metrics, provide regular reporting, and ensure data-driven decision-making.
  • Represent Corelight externally with customers, partners, and industry events as a senior leader.
  • Champion Corelight's culture of low ego results, tireless service and applied curiosity.
  • Travel required.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years managing a sales team
  • BA / BS technical degree or equivalent
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop sales teams that consistently achieve and exceed targets.
  • Strong understanding of complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles.
  • Excellent communication and executive presence with the ability to influence internally and externally.
  • Data-driven decision-making and experience implementing structured sales methodologies.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, distributed & remote environment.
  • Prior experience in cybersecurity is a big plus, it's not a prerequisite. We value diverse backgrounds and a passion for learning.

    Compensation Range : $340,000 - $390,000 USD
